Trend methodology
How a look enters the edit.
The Trend Hub is a curated watchlist, not a live global ranking. This page makes that distinction explicit and records how the annual edit is built.
Selection criteria
A look can enter the current edit when it meets all of these conditions:
- It maps to a cut, style or color direction that users can meaningfully try in the app.
- It adds a distinct design idea rather than a keyword-only duplicate.
- We can describe the visible variables: length, perimeter, fringe, texture, placement or color direction.
- The page links to a useful guide or honest explanation of what is and is not available.
What “trending” means here
It means selected for the active HairstyleChange editorial edit. It does not mean a style has a verified percentage increase in searches, salon requests or social mentions unless that separate evidence is cited on the page.
Update and archive policy
A visible “updated” date changes only after editorial review. Annual reports remain available at dated URLs such as /trends/2026 so a later edition does not silently rewrite the previous one.
What we do not publish
- Automatically generated pages for every filter combination.
- Near-identical pages targeting synonyms of the same search intent.
- A style page with no unique explanation, image relationship or next step.
- Popularity claims inferred only from internal labels or personal taste.
Corrections
If a style is mislabeled or a methodology statement is unclear, contact support@hairstylechange.com with the URL and the proposed correction. Material changes will update the reviewed date.
